Description
Readers are more likely to start — and finish — an article when they know how long it will take. NC Reading Time & Progress Bar adds a “5 min read” label to your posts and a slim bar at the top of the page that shows reading progress.

- Progress bar that fills smoothly as the reader scrolls
- Choose which content types it applies to (posts, pages or custom types)

How reading time is calculated
The plugin counts the words in your post (ignoring HTML and shortcodes) and divides by your chosen reading speed, 220 words per minute by default, rounding up to the nearest minute.
